Where else can you hear classic hits from Howard Jones, Depeche Mode, Erasure, and OMD alongside their hottest new releases? Plus, we showcase the best new synth-driven music from artists like Empire of the Sun, Cannons, Dua Lipa, Boy Harsher, Nuevo Testamento, Italoconnection, and more, along with exclusive remixes you won’t hear anywhere else.
Helmed by Los Angeles-based DJ Matt Williams, whose career began in 1987, Synthpop Symphony benefits from his extensive experience, from college radio to top Modern Rock station “The Edge,” where he launched The Underground Lounge mix show. Matt has also opened for A Flock of Seagulls, Anything Box, Red Flag, Cause and Effect, Moby, and The Prodigy. Collaborations with guest DJs and producers such as Matt POP, TSF DiscoMix, Sergei Elias, and Ross Alexander further expand the show’s reach, bringing in new audiences worldwide.

Welcome to Synthpop Symphony 266—your home for next-generation electronic dance music!
It’s March Madness, Week 2, and that means more wild mix sets of brand-new music! Sinister Disco 19 brings you a one-hour set from yours truly, packed with fresh tracks—including the world premiere of the Lauer remix of
Sometimes You Make Me Happy by Lucca Leeloo. Plus, I’ve got the best new music, remixes, and mashups you won’t hear anywhere else from Italoconnection, MAX Italo and Cosmicity and to top it all off a new remix of Abracababra by Lady Gaga!
In the first hour, I’m taking a deep dive into two iconic synthpop bands—Anything Box and Cause and Effect. You’ll get a bit of backstory, a classic track from each, and a brand-new 2025 release from both!
I’ve also got a special segment on post-Soft Cell—specifically, Dave Ball, the synth mastermind behind the band, and his dance music contributions after Soft Cell split. Don’t miss that!
We’re also featuring remixes of classics from Nik Kershaw and Depeche Mode and a 10th anniversary tribute to
Marsheaux’s cover of Depeche Mode’s My Secret Garden—a track that still holds up today! And speaking of Marsheaux, their lead singer, Melllow, has a brand-new slammer synthpop track out this week called Demons!
On top of that, I’ll be showcasing new music from BlutEngel, Roubix and Bazz, Eprin, and Dove Cameron.
